What is Macro Photography?
Macro
photography is a type of photography that produces photographs of small
items at a larger than life size. Digital photography has made the
ability to capture macro images possible without the use of specialized
gear.
Tips for Macro Photography Beginners:
1)
It is important to consider the actual point of focus when working
close-up with tiny subjects. You can dramatically change the appearance
by where you chose to focus.
2)
Whether using a camera with a zoom lens or a digital zoom, you want to
make sure you're using a telephoto setting (usually zoomed in as far as
possible).
3)
The best macro photography — regardless of camera — requires that you
use the smallest lens aperture to gain the greatest image sharpness and
depth of field. Using a small lens aperture means you need more light,
so you need to extend the exposure time to make a correctly exposed
photograph.
